Volunteering in AFS Poland! (10 weeks)
AFS Poland is an international organization, which promotes the acceptance and respect for diversity to build a more just and peaceful world. We are sending and hosting exchange students from different countries in the host families. The volunteering project is focused on intercultural education, youth work and communication. The volunteer will be involved in a variety of activities, including conducting workshops in schools on culture, diversity, tolerance and intercultural understanding; helping to organise and host “Gadanie na Śniadanie” (Chat over Breakfast) events, where participants can discover and learn about different cultures; supporting AFS Poland with social media, marketing and communication; and assisting with everyday activities at the AFS office. Volunteers are encouraged to take an active role in the organisation, propose new activities and develop projects based on their interests and skills.

A quién buscan
The ideal participant is an open-minded and communicative person who is interested in intercultural learning, youth work and volunteering. Good communication and social skills are important, as the project involves working with young people, conducting workshops and taking part in activities with the local community. The participant should be proactive, willing to take initiative and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Motivation to support the everyday activities of the AFS Poland office and to get involved in different projects and events is expected. An interest in volunteerism, active citizenship and intercultural learning is welcome. Good spoken and written English is required.

Alojamiento y comidas
The AFS Poland office is located in Kraków, close to the Old Town and well connected by public transport. The volunteer will be provided with accommodation in a shared apartment with other volunteers. The accommodation is easily accessible from the office by public transport. The project covers accommodation, a food allowance, local public transport and pocket money for the volunteer, in accordance with the European Solidarity Corps programme rules and rates.
