Promoting volunteering and youth participation

Associazione InformaGiovani is an organization located in Palermo that organises activities such as information sessions, training courses and seminars on EU programmes, international workcamps, youth exchanges and volunteering teams. The volunteer will support Eurodesk activities and infodays about EU mobilities and opportunities (at schools, youth centres); help with preparation and implementation of local and international activities (training courses, youth exchanges, workcamps); support administrative tasks and work in the office (e-mail contacts with participants, online placement, documentation collection and archiving); contributing to creation and implementation of workshops in accordance with non-formal learning principles. The volunteer will initiate a personal project on a topic of their choice during the project, related to the volunteering activity.

A quién buscan
We are looking for volunteers aged between 21-30 years old with previous experiences in participating in workcamps, volunteering activities in country and abroad, with a strong interest in the youth sector, in discovering NGO-life inside and outside the office, in promoting youth participation, volunteerism and social inclusion, interested and motivated to use non formal education methods. Good skills in using office management software, including Excel, Word, as well as Google Workspace. Previous international volunteering experience is welcome.

Alojamiento y comidas
Accommodation: the flat, shared with other international volunteers, consists of 2 double-rooms and one single room, common living room, kitchen and 2 shared bathrooms. This is equipped with all needed (water, electricity, heating, furniture). Free wi-fi is available. Accommodation is well-connected with public transportation. Local transport: bus pass for the whole duration. Individual support: monthly cash allowance (Euro 6,00 per day) Food: monthly cash allowance (Euro 5,00 per day) Travel costs: based on ESC guide according to the Erasmus+ distance calculator.
