LAST-MINUTE OPPORTUNITY - ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN IN FOSTER CARE HOMES 5.0 IN MIERCUREA-CIUC (ROMANIA)
Would you like to volunteer? How do you feel about joining forces with 2 other volunteers? We offer a long-term volunteering opportunity for 1 young person from Europe. The main task of the volunteers will be to facilitate various non-formal and informal learning activities for children in different foster care and children's homes in Miercurea-Ciuc. The main focus will be on the topic of "Promotion of Healthy Lifestyles and Mental Health" and volunteers will create activities where children can learn more about this topic. Each day of the week volunteers will go to different locations in different parts of our town to provide activities for various children in foster care homes. Through non-formal education and fun activities, volunteers will develop the social and English language skills of the children and raise awareness about the importance of healthy living. In the homes, volunteers mostly work with 2 children or with the whole group of 10 children.

A quién buscan
We are looking for 1 volunteer between 18 and 30 years old who has the urge to develop their communication and cooperation skills and to recognize their strengths and weaknesses within a team; wants to improve their practical skills in the planning and implementation of activities, wants to have a meaningful contribution to society, wishes to step out of their comfort zone, who is responsible, flexible, motivated, open-minded and able to attend the full duration of the project. The volunteer is encouraged to be creative, and proactive, to come up with new ideas, and to use their skills.

Alojamiento y comidas
Accommodation: volunteers will live in a fully furnished accommodation in the town, max. 2 participants in the same room, with gender-separated rooms, a well-equipped kitchen, as well as bathrooms with toilets and showers, free Wi-Fi included. Food: volunteers can use their food budget (150 EUR/month) to cater for themselves. They will receive 120 EUR/month pocket money. Transport arrangements: for local transportation, volunteers will receive bicycles to get around the town; travel expenses will be reimbursed according to ESC Programme Guide, and green travel is encouraged.
