IMPACT MAKERS (volunteering at Druskininkai Youth Activity Centre)
The volunteer will have the opportunity to work in two different placements: Druskininkai Youth Activity Centre and the Association “Help the Kids”. At the Youth Centre, the volunteer will communicate with young people, help organise activities and events, and contribute to the daily life of the Centre. At “Help the Kids”, an inclusive day centre, the volunteer will work with children, including children with disabilities, organise engaging activities, assist with homework, and support the development of social skills. With the support of staff in both organisations, the volunteer will gain diverse practical experience working with different target groups. The project aims to support the volunteer’s personal and professional growth while ensuring a meaningful and high-quality volunteering experience.

A quién buscan
The community is looking for a volunteer who is motivated to engage actively in school life, shows initiative, is open-minded, and can easily adapt to a new environment. Skills or interests in arts and sports would be considered an advantage. As the project encourages young people’s initiatives, the volunteer will have the opportunity to design and lead activities for the community independently or with the support.

Alojamiento y comidas
Travel expenses will be reimbursed up to the maximum amount set according to the volunteer’s country of origin, based on the European Commission’s distance calculator. The organizer will assure financial support: daily allowance (6 eur) and food allowance (6 eur) per day. The accommodation is located close to the volunteering venue. Each volunteer will have a private room, while the kitchen and bathroom facilities will be shared.
