New Activities Promoting Local Empowerment and Solidarity - Vol. 3
We are looking for 1 short term volunteer, the volunteer will mainly support the association with the activities in the library "Grazia Deledda" of Ponticelli, east periphery of Naples, in order to give a strong impact to this community who is not touched by the international enviroment of the city centre of Naples. The general framework of the volunteers engagement will be to promote the quality leisure time of young people spreading the values of the EU though events and initiatives. The volunteers will also be involved in the organisation of informative events cooperating with the Europe Direct Napoli Center. The volunteers will also support the association in the creation of youth-friendly online content (both in our social media channels and website) and they can work on their own personal project. A quién buscan
This call is open to all young people aged between 18 and 30 years old. We generally look for volunteers who are dynamic, creative, sociable, patient, able to work in a team, sociable, flexible, and creative. Our ideal volunteer would has: Passion for books and reading; Willingness to get involved in creative activities and engage with the public, especially teenagers and young people; Spirit of initiative, curiosity, and openness towards people from different backgrounds. Previous experience in library science and knowledge of italian is not required: motivation, creativity, and a willingness to learn through collaboration matter most. You will be involved in designing and leading reading promotion activities tailored especially for teenagers and young people, including: • Book clubs and reading groups • Cultural events and initiatives related to books • Creative contests and competitions (poetry, writing) • Outreach activities outside the library premisesIntercultural meetings and exchanges centered around reading • Support in communicating and promoting activities

Alojamiento y comidas
The accommodation is provided by the hosting organisation and it is located in San Giorgio (a town on the East periphery of the city close to the public transportation for going to Napoli city centre and the public libraries) connected to the city centre and the places where the association works. The accommodation is free of charge and volunteers will receive th transportation subscription. Every month the volunteers will receive a pocket money + food allowance.
